Quman
For parents who are doing everything the books say, and it still isn't working with this child…

Same house. Same parents. Same rules. So why does one child cooperate and the other fight you on everything?

Human Design says the answer starts with when and where they were born. Your child's birth date, time and place hold a map of how they take in requests, make decisions and run out of energy. Most parents never see it.

Quman turns that map into plain English: what to say, what to stop doing, and what's really behind the meltdowns.

Human Design maps a person's chart from their birth date, time and place. It draws on astrology, the I Ching, the Kabbalah and the chakra system. For parents, it answers four practical questions: how your child decides, where they soak up the energy around them, what their behavior is really trying to get, and what's normal at their age.

Who this is for

The goal of this page is to show you how your child is wired, and what to do differently tomorrow morning because of it.

  • This is for you if you have one child who seems to need a completely different manual from everyone else in the house.
  • This is for you if bedtime, leaving the park, getting dressed or homework turns into a fight most days, and you can't work out why.
  • This is for you if you've read the parenting books, tried the sticker charts and the calm voice, and it worked for a week.
  • This is for you if your child melts down, shuts down or argues, and you're not sure whether they're being difficult or something is really wrong.
  • This is for you if you hear yourself saying the things your own parents said, the ones you swore you'd never say.
  • This is for you if your child says "It's not fair" about everything, or "I can't" before they've even tried.
  • This is for you if you're exhausted by 4pm and feel guilty about how short your fuse has become.
  • This is for you if you and your partner parent differently and the kids play you off against each other.
  • This is for you if you already know a bit about Human Design and want to use it with your kids, without learning the whole system yourself.
  • This is for you if you've been told your child is "too sensitive", "too much" or "lazy", and it doesn't match the kid you know.
  • This is for you if you want to raise a child who trusts themselves, not one who just does what they're told.
This is not for you if you want a diagnosis. The report doesn't diagnose anything. If you're worried about your child's development, health or safety, start with your pediatrician.

The underlying truth

Most parenting advice is written for an average child. Your child isn't average. They have their own way of taking in a request, making a decision and running out of energy, and Human Design gives you a map of it.

Sadly, most parents only find this out the hard way. They pick a method, apply it to every child in the house, and it works on one kid and backfires on the other. So they try harder. Firmer voice. More rules. Bigger consequences.

The child who was pushing back pushes back harder. The parent decides they're doing it wrong, or that the child is the problem. Neither is true. The method was built for a different kid.

Here's what that looks like with one ordinary request: getting a child to start their homework.

Child's TypeWhat usually goes wrongWhat tends to workTry saying
InitiatorBeing told what to do and whenLet them tell you their plan"Tell me what you're about to do."
AlchemistOpen-ended instructionsA yes/no question their gut can answer"Is now a good time, or after a snack?"
Time BenderBeing made to do one thing at a time, slowlyA clear time frame, then let them move fast"In five minutes it's homework. I'm setting a timer."
OrchestratorBeing pushed when they're already tiredAsk about their energy first"I'm wondering if you have the energy for this right now."
CalibratorBeing rushed, or a tense roomCheck how they feel and whose feeling it is"How are you feeling about it?"

Same request. Five different kids. Five different answers.

And it goes further than Type. Human Design says the parts of a child's chart that are "open" pick up and amplify the energy around them, including yours. So a child with an open Emotional Solar Plexus can melt down because you are stressed, not because of anything that happened to them.

This is the reason the report starts with your child's design and the Ask feature always checks four things: their design, their age, what's going on at home, and what the behavior is really trying to get. Change the approach to fit the child, and the same parent with the same patience gets a different result.

Where this comes from

Quman is built on the Quantum Human Design™ family coaching method, written up by a certified Quantum Human Design™ Family Coach.

The design side tells you how your child is wired. The parenting side uses long-standing approaches: encouragement instead of praise, consequences instead of punishment, and one-on-one time that fills a child's need for connection.

Everything is in one place, written for parents. Here's how it works.

How Mia decides

She needs something to respond to. Her gut answers with a sound: "uh-huh" for yes, "uh-uh" for no.

Try: ask yes/no questions and listen for the sound, not the words.
What helps
1Frequent yes/no questions
2Pointing back to past plateaus she pushed through
3Plenty of physical activity every day
What to avoid
×Fixing her frustration for her
×Making her stick with things that aren't hers to do
When she's discouraged

Frustration shows up at plateaus. Watch for a try, get frustrated, quit pattern.

Sleep

Best when physically worn out. Not tired at bedtime? Check screen time and add an evening walk.

STEP 1

See how your child is wired

You enter your child's birth date, time and place. The app builds their chart and turns it into a report in plain English. No jargon, no chart reading.

  • Their Type and how they take in requests, like the homework table above.
  • How they make decisions: in the moment, from their gut, or only after their feelings settle.
  • Their profile, like 3/5 or 2/4: whether they learn by researching, by trying things, or by watching first.
  • All nine centers: where they're steady, and where they soak up the mood of the house.
  • Their age stage: what's normal for a 4-year-old or a 13-year-old, so you don't fix what isn't broken.
  • Scripts: things to say for bedtime, transitions, sibling fights and meltdowns, matched to their Type. Three come with the report.
What if I don't know the exact birth time?

Type and most of the report usually stay the same within a few hours. If the time is unknown, the app marks the parts that could change.

Isn't this just putting my kid in a box?

The report describes tendencies, not rules. Every section is written as "tends to" and "watch for". Use it to try something different, then trust what you see in your own child.

STEP 2

Find out what's really behind the behavior

When something goes wrong, you type what happened into Ask, like "He screams every time we leave the park." The answer checks four things:

  1. Their design. Is this how they're wired, like an Alchemist who needs warning before a change?
  2. Their age. Is this a normal stage?
  3. What's going on at home. New baby, a move, a tired parent?
  4. What the behavior is trying to get. Attention, power, getting back at someone, or feeling they can't cope.

The fastest way to tell which one it is: notice how you feel when it starts.

If you feelIt's usually about Irritated and drainedAttention Challenged or angryPower HurtGetting back at you Sorry for them, or like doing it for themFeeling they can't cope

Then you get one to three things to say, matched to your child's Type.

Is this AI giving me advice?

Ask answers only from the family coaching material built into the app. It doesn't diagnose, and anything about safety, health or development points you to a professional.

STEP 3

Change one thing a week

Most parents try to change everything at once and quit by Thursday. The app gives you one change for the week, like "ask yes/no questions at bedtime". A daily reminder asks if you tried it. On Sunday you answer four quick questions: did it work, how did your child respond, what did you learn, and how's your energy.

If your energy is low, next week's focus is you. A parent running on empty can't parent the way they want to.

How long until I see a difference?

It varies by child and family. Some parents notice a change the first time they phrase a request differently. Others take a few weeks. Expect your child to push harder at first when the pattern changes; that's normal.

STEP 4

Put yourself in the picture

Your child isn't parented in a vacuum. Your design meets theirs every day. The Family Blueprint compares your chart with each child's and shows where you clash and why:

  • Where you're steady and your child is open, so they pick up your energy and amplify it.
  • Where you're both strong-willed, so power struggles are likely.
  • Where your Type talks one way and theirs listens another way.

This is usually the part that takes the guilt away. Often it isn't that you're a bad parent or they're a bad kid. You're wired differently.

Can I add my partner?

Yes. Add a co-parent and see how each of you lines up with each child.

Two ways to do this

Option 1Learn Human Design yourself. Get your child's chart from a free site, then work through the books and courses to read it. The Quantum Human Design Encyclopedia alone runs to hundreds of pages, and very little of it is written for parents. Or book a one-on-one family reading, from $247.
Option 2Get your child's report today for $27, in plain English, written for parents, with scripts you can use tonight.

What changes when you understand your child

  • You argue less about the same things, because you're asking in a way they can hear.
  • You know when a meltdown is about their design, their age, or something at home.
  • You stop taking the "It's not fair" and the slammed doors personally.
  • You stop comparing your kids, because you can see why they need different things.
  • You spend less of the evening negotiating and more of it with your kids.
  • Your child grows up hearing that the way they're built is fine.

Questions parents ask

Is Human Design scientific?

No. Human Design isn't backed by scientific studies, and this app doesn't claim it is. What it gives you is a structured way to see your child as different from you and their siblings, and practical parenting steps to try. Many of those steps, like encouragement instead of praise and consequences instead of punishment, come from long-standing parenting approaches.

Is this therapy or coaching?

No. It's a guide. It doesn't diagnose and isn't a substitute for a doctor, therapist or counselor. If you want one-on-one help, you can book a family reading inside the app.

What ages does it work for?

The report works for any age, including you. The age-stage guides cover pregnancy to 16.

I have three kids. Do I need three reports?

Each child needs their own report: $17 each after the first, or the Family Blueprint covers up to five children plus both parents and sibling maps for $67.

My partner thinks this is nonsense.

That's common. Send them the PDF and ask them to read just the "how they make decisions" section, then try it for a week.

Do I need to download anything?

No. It runs in your web browser on your phone or computer. You'll get an access code by email after you buy.

What happens to my child's birth details?

They're used only to calculate your child's chart. They're stored securely, never sold, and you can download or delete everything from Account › Privacy at any time.
